ABOUT

Tamasine is a Danish artist based in Haarlem, the Netherlands where she lives with her husband and two young children.
STATEMENT
I am a dreamer and aesthete at heart, always drawn to the calming embrace of the sea. Painting is a place for me to get completely lost in my thoughts, to lose myself in my imagination and emotions. It’s a process of creating balance and harmony through compositions and colors, largely inspired by nature.
My work invites you to explore warm tones, natural materials, and beautifully imperfect textures. I love layering and experimenting with mixed media to create pieces that draw you in, each one being original, handmade and a unique creation.
Scandinavia and Japan inspire me with their special relationship to nature as well as their unique minimalistic appeal and traditions based on craftmanship. Both are particular about detail but prefer the raw beauty and unadorned aesthetic which I greatly admire.
