About the artist

Tamasine McNabb is a visual creative and an ambitious dreamer who is happiest when by the sea. Originally from Denmark but currently living the good life with her husband and two children in the beautiful Haarlem, the Netherlands.

Interior designer and aesthete at heart forever inspired by raw materials, craftsmanship, the power of simplicity and the pure beauty of nature. Tamasine believes that art plays a big role in bringing a space together and making it complete. It is a story, a personal experience, a timeless possession that you can get completely lost in. Like her name Tamasine, BOKET(T)O is also Japanese meaning to daydream and to get lost in thought.

Her work is naturally influenced by both the Scandinavian and Japanese cultures, a.k.a. the Japandi style. She is particularly fascinated by the Japanese principle of ‘wabi sabi’; finding the beauty in imperfection. Tamasine’s work is a combination of natural materials, warm tones and the technique of mixed media for that perfectly imperfect result in her artwork.
